Additional Steps

To ensure academic success at Trinity, we require admission testing for all applicants. Cognitive assessments are one of the tools we use for students applying to Kindergarten through Grade 4 to ensure your child’s academic success at Trinity. These are completed by a licensed, outside psychologist. For students applying to Grades 5 through 8, we require the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE).

Grades K-1 applicants take the WPPSI-IV (Wechsler Preschool & Primary Scale of Intelligence)
Grades 2-4 applicants take the WISC-V (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children)
Grades 5-8 applicants take the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam)

All applicants join us on campus to work with our teachers and meet their potential future classmates.

For our Kindergarten applicants, we host multiple Saturday Observation mornings in December and January where our Prospective Wildkittens will experience a typical morning in our classrooms with our teachers.

For our applicants to Grades 1 through 8, we welcome our prospective Wildcats to experience a full day with their peers where they will engage in classroom activities, take part in recess and enrichments, enjoy lunch on us, and complete a few assessments one-on-one with our teachers while they are on campus.

To sign up for an Observation or Wildcat Visit Day beginning in November, we invite you to apply and click on the appropriate link to select your day in your child’s checklist.

We require teacher recommendations for all applicants. For applicants to Kindergarten through 5th Grade, we require one teacher recommendation from their current teacher. For applicants to Grades 6 and above, we require 2 teacher recommendations: One recommendation should be completed by the applicant’s current English/Language Arts teacher and the other recommendation should be completed by the applicant's current Mathematics teacher. Recommendation requests can be requested via the FACTS Family Portal by submitting an application.

For students applying to Grades 1 and above, we require an official transcript with grades from the current school year and previous school year. This may also be requested directly through the FACTS Family Portal by submitting an application.

At Trinity, we believe that we can only challenge our students to academic excellence by knowing and honoring who they are as individuals with unique potential. To that end, we invite every family who completes the application process to sit down with our admission team to share what we have learned about their child through the process and help the family discern how Trinity Episcopal School can best partner with the family in support of their child.

Since our founding, we have been committed to making a Trinity Episcopal School education possible for families of all socio-economic means. In the 2023-24 school year, we awarded $2.1 million in financial support to 26% of our students.

Financial support applications are completely online via Clarity and take about 20 minutes to complete.

The financial support application deadline for returning families is Friday, December 1, 2024. Returning families are notified of their financial support decision for 2025-2026 on January 31, 2025 at the start of our re-enrollment period.

The financial support application deadline for prospective families is Thursday, February 1, 2025. New families are notified of their financial support decision for 2025-2026 upon acceptance on Friday, February 28, 2025 for rising Kindergarteners or Friday, March 28, 2025 for rising Grades 1-8.
