Academic Life: Learning Catalysts
Learning Catalysts
The goal of high-quality teaching and learning within our community is supported by a team of Learning Catalysts who work alongside students, teachers and parents. They serve to expand our classroom teachers’ capacity to offer appropriately-challenging instruction to the collective and to each individual. Most often, our Learning Catalysts work within the classroom setting to develop curriculum and support instruction as opposed to using the more traditional “pull-out” method of specialized instruction. We believe this produces a more positive and lasting impact upon the classroom community. Our Learning Catalysts’ areas of expertise span the full range of student accomplishment, including working with academically “high end” students and students with specific learning needs and accommodation plans.
Learning Catalysts, deans and a small number of faculty members serve on a student support team, known as SATT (Success at Trinity Team). These individuals work together to serve as a resource to one another, in order to collectively focus on the best learning environment for select students.
