It is clear that Dylan persevered and had a great attitude during this time.

David Jackson ('04), McCallie School, worked at McCallie's sports camp last summer.

Summer of 2005: "My family and I went on a safari in Africa and had so much fun! We went with a tour group called Abercrombie & Kent and there were about four other families that went with us. Every day we woke up around 6:30am and ate breakfast, then went on a game drive to look for animals, and we would come back for lunch at whichever camp we were at. After lunch, the kids would usually get together and either go swimming or just play with someone helping out at the camp while the parents sat and talked. After we played for a little bit, we would go on another game drive at about 5:30pm and then come back for dinner. We saw so many animals that I would have never thought about seeing in real life, and we went to a couple of the villages to see how the people there lived--all of the little kids were so cute! I really look up to the people that live in the villages in Africa because they learn how to make the best out of what they have to live with, which isn't much. We made friends with some of the warriors from the villages and I already miss them a lot. I wish I were still there with them! I couldn't have asked for a better family trip because I saw so many things that most people never get to see and I hope I go back someday!" --Caitlyn McGhee ('04)
