Trinity Extended Day is currently hiring instructors in preparation for Trinity‘s Wildcat Summer Program in 2010.
Job Description
Camp instructors are expected to arrive promptly for and work scheduled shifts (up to 30 hours per week), promote a safe, cooperative and democratic environment for children and follow the TES honor code. Those who have a background in early childhood and/or elementary education are preferred.
The ideal candidate must love children, be detailed oriented and have the ability to create and facilitate fun, innovative and developmentally appropriate academic activities for a diverse population. TES alumni are STRONGLY encouraged to apply.

Pemberton Heath (‘04), recently graduated as Senior Class President from St. Andrew's School in Delaware. Pem received a number of awards including the Jordan Prize for "love of humanity, friendship, perseverance and unique/refreshing perspective on life", the Stegemen Prize for academic excellence, the Baum Prize for English, the Webb Prize for History, the Henry Prize for greatest contribution to athletics, the Cameron Prize for outstanding service to the school and the
Vorhees Prize for Classical Languages. Pem just started her freshmen year at the University of Virginia.
Louise Dufresne (‘04), currently a freshmen at Vassar College, had two letters published in the NY Times and the Charlotte Observer in the last year. Click here to view the NY Times article and click here to view the Charlotte Observer article.
Matthias Farley (‘07) currently plays football at Charlotte Christian and leads Mecklenburg County in receiving yardage (5 Rec., 274 Yards, 4 TDs). Matthias was recently covered in Charlotte Weekly Newspaper. View the article here on pages 21 and 26: Charlotte Weekly
Wallace Branche (‘08) spent three weeks in Nicaragua for a full Spanish immersion program. He lived with Nicaraguan families, learned Spanish and participated in 45 hours of community service. In addition, Wallace made the Varsity football team at Woodberry Forest as a Sophmore.
Charlie Williams (‘05) opted to take a deferment to High Point University until fall of 2010 and will spend a year doing charity work with the elderly and at an orphange in Russia through Cross Cultural Solutions. He received an award for Graphic Design from Myers Park High School and will pursue this area of study at High Point University.
Gabriele Maier (‘04) made the Dean’s List at Ohio State University in the Spring.
Kate Copeland (‘09) volunteered this summer at the South County Library. She helped lead a young readers program every week. Kate, with her in-depth knowledge of the library’s children programs, was offered a paid position for this fall. Kate, however, declined the offer so she can focus on her freshman year at Myers Park High School.
JD Wimbish (‘08) worked a week this summer as a Senate page for the North Carolina General Assembly.
Gracie Beard (‘04), sophomore at UNC Chapel Hill, spent the summer in Croatia teaching English to children in the town of Gvozd. In addition to her work in Croatia, Gracie was able to go mountain biking, hiking, river canyoning, rock climbing, paragliding and more throughout Croatia and Slovenia.
Brandon Johnson (‘06) served as a peer leader at the General Hugh Shelton’s leadership camp at North Carolina State University during July.
Silas Farley continues to be successful while attending the School of American Ballet in New York City. He was featured on
the PBS special, “Live at Lincoln Center” in May and has
performed in the New York City Ballet’s productions of “Coppelia”, “Firebird” and “Romeo & Juliet”. Silas also received a full scholarship to attend
a five-week summer course at The Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle, Washington.
Bethany Brewer ('05) recently graduated as Salutatorian from East Mecklenburg High School. She received merit scholarships from the NC State Engineering Foundation and the Nucor Corporation Community Scholarship program and plans to attend North Carolina State University in the Fall.
